allergy
[edit]I don't have a ref for this (since it is from personal experience) but maybe some-one can find one: It is possible to have a strong reaction to cilantro but none what-so-ever to coriander (seeds). Kdammers (talk) 19:15, 1 March 2025 (UTC)
Culture
[edit]Up until a few decades ago, the use of cilantro in the U.S. was basically restricted to Mexican and a few other "ethnic" communities and restaurants and was not often found in regular grocery stores. Today it can be found in many if not most supermarkets and in standard American cuisine. It would be nice if we could document these facts and include them. If a similar spread has taken place elsewhere, that should also be noted. Kdammers (talk) 19:20, 1 March 2025 (UTC)
